|Stephanie Kibler - Owner
Stephanie began her dance career at the age of seven and trained at the Susan Powel Dance Center and the Canton Ballet. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance Management from Baldwin-Wallace College and has studied in New York City at Broadway Dance Center. She has also attended many dance conventions to study all forms of dance. In 1995, Stephanie was selectively chosen for a scholarship from Ohio Arts Council. For nearly 20 years, Stephanie has been teaching and creating award-winning choreography at the local, regional and national levels. Stephanie also has a love for theater and has choreographed shows including: Berea High Schools production of “Anything Goes” and Young Actors Studio’s productions of “Peter Pan”, “Annie Jr.” and “Grease”. Like Stephanie, KDA aims to provide its students with excellent training and a love for dance.
|Jennifer Kibler - Studio Manager & Dance Instructor
Jennifer is an instructor, artistic designer, and studio manager at Kibler Dance Academy. She began her dance career at the age of 3 and studied at the Melissa Popovich Dance Studio, Al’s Gymnastics, and Susan Powell Dance Center. Jennifer attended Baldwin-Wallace College and received a BA with a major in Business and Minor in Studio Art. She continued her dance education throughout college where she also performed on the dance team and in dance concerts. Jennifer is a competition choreographer at Kibler Dance Academy and has earned numerous awards and high score awards for her dance pieces. Jennifer frequently travels to New York to attend dance teacher conferences to extend her knowledge in dance, business, and marketing. Kibler Dance Academy is Jennifer’s second home and the students are her family. She is also a choreographer for the Hudson High School Swing Marching Band Dancers and combines her love of dance and art to share with the studio, community and beyond.
|Amanda Davis - Dance Instructor
Amanda began dancing at the age of three at The School of Canton Ballet, and by the age of 13 she was a company member. As a company member she performed in many ballets including The Nutcracker, Dracula, Swan Lake, The Wizard of Oz and many more. She has attended summer intensives with ballet companies in Pennsylvania, Texas, New York and Ohio. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kent State University and during her junior year was awarded a scholarship as Outstanding Dance Major. After college graduation, Amanda gained teaching experience at private dance studios, preschools, and public schools. In the summer of 2014, she choreographed “Chicago” at the Young Actors Studio. Amanda now works with the Reach Out and Dance program, which teaches dance to 4th graders in the Akron Public School District. At KDA, Amanda instructs ballet, jazz and technique classes for recreation and competition level dancers.
|Suzanne Heckroth - Office Assistant
Suzanne has been the Competition and Office Manager for KDA since 2007. She is the backbone of office operations and maintains all customer accounts as well as matters for the competitive teams. She also serves as a substitute dance instructor. She began dancing at the age of 3 in Sharon, PA and studied tap, ballet, jazz and pointe with Linda Morris and Bonnie Banick for 15 years. She is a former high school and collegiate cheerleader and she participated in dance line and concert and jazz bands and was on the golf team. Suzanne performed two contemporary pieces with the Beth Elliott Dance Group in Great Mills, Maryland. After graduating from John Carroll University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Suzanne began her professional career in Sharon, PA as an inside sales representative for Winner Steel Services. She later worked as a chemist for Pennsylvania Consumers Water Company, during which time she coached the girls’ golf coach for Kennedy Christian High School. She moved to Owings Mills, MD where she was a Laboratory Resource Manager for InVitro Technologies for five years. She now lives in Hudson with her husband Mark and their two children.
|Jenny Spitalieri - Office Assistant/Dance Instructor
Jenny joined the KDA family in 2016. Growing up she danced on a competitive dance team performing in Disney World and at halftime shows for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Ohio State University. Jenny attended Baldwin-Wallace College graduating with a BA with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Human Resources. After college Jenny worked in the banking industry in Cleveland and Chicago for 12 years. She also founded and directed a small dance program in Westlake for 10 years. Jenny is passionate about fitness and is well-versed in a number of fitness techniques including barre, HIIT, cardio, running, and more. Jenny and her husband, Vinnie, live in Hudson with their 2 daughters, both KDA dancers!
|Rachael Palermo - Dance Instructor
Rachael K. Palermo, M.A., New York University is a dancer, choreographer, and educator from Northfield, Ohio. As a performer and choreographer, she has enjoyed working with area dance companies, schools, and theater companies throughout Northeast Ohio. As an educator, Rachael has taught in the Cleveland area private sector for over 20 years, and is in her sixth year of teaching in higher education. She previously worked as a dance studio Owner/Director for 10 years, and is a member of the National Dance Education Organization.
Rachael holds a B.F.A. in Dance from The University of Akron, where she performed with The University of Akron Dance Company. She went on to New York University for graduate studies, and received her M.A. in Teaching Dance in Higher Education and the Professions in 2013. Additionally, she holds her Statement of Eligibility for Alternative Resident Educator License in Dance from the Ohio Department of Education. Most recently, she served as Artistic/School Director at Ballet Western Reserve and worked as adjunct faculty at Youngstown State University. Currently, Rachael is Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction-Dance/Ballet at The University of Akron, and is excited to be joining Kibler Dance Academy this season.
|Joceyln Motter - Dance Instructor
Jocelyn joined the KDA family in 2017. She began dancing at the age of three in Reno,
Nevada at Fascinating Rhythm School of Performing Arts and quickly fell in love with
tap. She was on the competition team and traveled throughout Nevada for conventions
and competitions. She performed in a variety of musicals and shows with her studio as
well as in the local community. She performed professionally with the Reno Phil
Harmonic in their Annual Holiday Show as a Reno Rockette tapper for five years.
Jocelyn obtained teaching experience at Dance City in Reno, teaching tap, stretch and
conditioning and musical theater to students ranging from all ages. She earned her
Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology at the University of Nevada,
Reno and is currently working on her Doctorate in Audiology at the Northeast Ohio
Audiology Consortium at the University of Akron.
|Jena Robinson - Dance Instructor
Jena started her dance career with one acro class at Kibler Dance Academy when she was seven and it was love at first tumble. One by one, she added other classes until she was ready for the KDA Comp Team by the time she was 10. From group dances, to trios and duets and ultimately solos, Jena’s love for dance was the driving force of her years at Hudson High School. Her competition titles include Miss Wild About Dance (regionals) and Miss Teen Energy (nationals), and she also explored another facet of body expression that holds a special place in her heart to this day — contortion. During the summer of her Junior year at HHS, she went to Las Vegas for a week-long, one-on-one training boot camp with Cirque du Soleil performers and fexibility remains one of her areas of focus. Jena currently attends the University of Akron as a Dance Major. She auditioned for and was cast in the University of Akron Dance Company Fall Concert, as well as the 2018 Choreographers’ Workshop performance. Jena will travel to Akron City Schools in the winter of 2019 as part of the UADC Touring Ensemble. She loves sharing her love of dance with others and looks forward to doing so for many years to come.
|Rachel Rousseau - Office Assistant/Dance Instructor
Rachel began her dance career at the age of two and trained at Borelli’s Dance Gallery in Pittsburgh. By the age of twelve, she was a company member and competed under Borelli’s Dance Gallery. She holds multiple individual titles from various competitions, including Miss Show Stopper, Miss Sophisticated, and 3rd overall at Star Systems National Competition. Rachel started teaching dance and gymnastics at the age of 16 and has continued on since then. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders at California University of Pennsylvania and is currently studying for her Doctorate of Audiology at the Northeast Ohio Doctorate of Audiology Consortium through the University of Akron and Kent State University.
|Kayleigh Becker - Dance Instructor
Kayleigh Becker is a Cleveland local and graduate of the University of North Carolina - Charlotte; graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Arts in Dance with an Education concentration. While at UNCC, Kayleigh presented works at the American Collegiate Dance Association Southeast Conference and the North Carolina Dance Educators Annual Conference. She was a two time recipient of the Dance Department annual scholarship that recognized her for academic and creative achievement in dance and education. Kayleigh has worked professionally in the Charlotte area as a dance instructor and stage manager. Since moving back to Cleveland, she has obtained her Acrobatic Arts Certification for Module 1. Miss Kayleigh loves teaching jazz and ballet technique as well as choreographing for shows. She is excited to begin teaching at KDA!
